Martin Brudnizki and Nicholas Jeanes formed And Objects in 2015 at Martin’s eponymous interior design studio, where they worked together creating the interiors and designing products for a select group of clients that included Soho House, Annabel’s and the Royal Academy of Arts.
Both designers shared an in-depth understanding of materiality and the production process and formed their partnership with the belief that good design should transcend any notion of style, while remaining eternally useful. As such, the And Objects approach is part-constructor and part-craftsman, embodying both the artist-engineer of the modern movement and the master craftsman of a medieval guild, to create objects that are beautiful yet functional.
The studio has designed a series of handmade objects, alongside a number of collections for a select group of collaborators, including; The Urban Electric Co, George Smith, Porta Romana, Drummonds and Christopher Farr Cloth.
And Objects has won a number of accolades and awards, notably Architectural Digest’s Great Design Award 2017. This is alongside press publications internationally featuring our work, including; World of Interiors, Architectural Digest (US/Germany), Elle Décor, The Times and Wallpaper Magazine*, with the latter including And Objects in their Handmade Exhibition at Salone del Mobile 2017 in Milan.
