Clare Dudeney’s work explores the subjective experience of ‘being’ through her unique use of colour and shape. Her abstract landscapes trace thoughts, memories, and emotions, evoking the unpredictability of encounters with nature.

Speaking of her works Clare describes the practice as considering “not how we appear on the surface, but what it feels like to exist – living in and through a mind and body. Imagining ‘the self’ as a network of relationships in flux: fragmented, uncertain and complex.”

For Clare, weaving is a meditative process without a set plan, allowing each piece to evolve naturally. She skilfully blends fine yarns to create soft transitions, with unexpected moments shaping the final form, revealing intricate, fragmented patterns.
